AN INTRODUCTION TO THE ELECTRIC CAR COMPANY GOALS

The Electric Car Company’s roots go deep into its parent company, Energetech Corporation. Energetech Corporation was established in 1976. Over the ensuing period of time Carl R. Clark, the President of Energetech, has been involved in ‘Energy’ projects all over the world. Prior to the formation of Energetech Mister Clark served as a member of the Utah State Senate and personally wrote Utah’s first comprehensive legislation on the control of air pollution. Senate Bill 36 was titled the ‘Utah Clean Air Act.’ His first hand knowledge and concerns of the fragile nature of our planets oil supplies as well as his experience regarding air quality issues lead to the formation, along with his two grandsons, of The Electric Car Company of Utah.

The goals for our company are simple. We want to help others convert their driving habits so that they will use plug in (Hopefully renewable) electricity instead of polluting and expensive gasoline and diesel. We would also like to train others in this growing business.

“Experience is the best teacher!” Before we could claim to understand the nature of the challenges that lie ahead for anyone considering converting a vehicle to plug in electric power we had to convert some different models of cars ourselves. Over time this firsthand experience has led us to the conclusion that there a lot of products on the market that just do not work or they do not work as satisfactorily as we think the driving public has come to expect. So we embarked on a program to do what we felt was necessary to simplify the process and make it more affordable. As a result you will find that we do not feature a plethora of products that are geared simply to sell something. We will only be selling systems and individual components that we know work! Our products are geared specifically to cars and trucks that are expected to make highway speeds of at least 65 to 75 MPH. We are not selling golf cart accessories, or parts for vehicles that will not travel at least 55 miles per hour.

When we first started our business we found many accessories that were unique to the conversion business that were very costly. In many cases we have found companies who we have contracted with to fabricate these products at prices that will save our customers hundreds of dollars over the competition. Except in a few instances we challenge you to find products that will cost you less. We maintain a very low overhead operation. Within the narrow band of products that are necessary to make a good installation I think you will find the Electric Car Company’s prices are hard to beat!
